Animation Storyboards

Storyboards
I have drawn and scanned four storyboards which are the four main ideas for the Mona the Vampire title sequence which I am going to create, these vary with the shapes and symbols used.

Project idea 1
Is a bat which turns into a cat as the sand animation moves along. This works well as it represents the vampires in Mona the Vampire and fag the cat which is a key part in the Mona the Vampire series next to Mona.

Project idea 2
This also reflects the vampire and spooky theme, which is two eyes which appear in a coffin these eyes and then blink repeatedly to draw your attention. A bat then emerges from the coffin and moves along the page, after the bat moves along the page the word 'Mona' then appears out of the coffin, moves along the page, then the coffin blacks out.
Project Idea 3
This title sequence starts with a door, which reflects the original Mona the Vampire title sequence, where it ends on the door opening with the words 'mona the vampire' appearing. A bat then emerges from the door, which like project idea 2 moves off the page. This is then followed by the word 'Mona' appearing in the door way and the moves off the page. This title sequence works well as it has quite a lot of movement so would keep the viewer continuously watching.

Project idea 4
The last project idea is fairly basic and simple, as this starts with a swirl and then emerges into a bat, and the swirl spins out and breaks up. This idea works well as this is very basic but effective as a title sequence which would only last a few seconds but would get the viewers attention.

Final storyboards

The final idea which I have chosen which is represented in the storyboards below, is project idea 1, but this has been developed. This was developed to make this title sequence longer and show, what show this title sequence is for my adding in the word 'Mona,' the name of the main character. In the original title sequence, the words at the end of the sequence say 'Mona the vampire.' As the whole title sequence is based around a bat and then a cat, this gets a spooky feel, therefore just the words 'Mona' is more effective and would work better for the target audience of children.

Final anuiliary plans
